I have studied and worked in the therapeutic field for the past sixteen years. Prior to relocating, I ran a private practice in France for 10 years. Before then I was a therapist at one of the leading mental health providers in the UK. During my career I have worked extensively with patients struggling with issues such as depression, low self confidence and a range of anxiety disorders; including social anxiety, health worries and work-related stress.
The therapy model I specialise in is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Research has shown CBT to be effective in helping people with a range of issues.
As a practitioner it is vital to keep expanding my knowledge and understanding. I do so by regularly undertaking continuing professional development learning. I also receive monthly supervision with an appropriately qualified and experienced therapist.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a member of the Association Française de Thérapie Comportementale et Cognitive (AFTCC).
